Charlotte impulsively decides to visit her partner. Upon arrival, she discovers George inside the Observatory and learns that he had been staying there for several days. Frustrated, she tries to reason with him, but he dismisses her grievances as unreasonable.

Reynolds, the unwaveringly loyal man of the King, and Brimsley, the Queen's devoted assistant, seem to share a close bond. Despite Brimsley's persistent attempts to understand why the King is distant towards his newlywed Queen, Reynolds remains tight-lipped and resolute in his loyalty to his monarch.

Princess Augusta finds herself in a precarious position as her decision to grant titles to people of color has caused a stir in both Parliament and high society. The pressure to ensure the success of her marriage weighs heavily on her. This is the "Great Experiment" and has her feeling uncertain about the future.

Agatha finds herself in a difficult situation with Lord Danbury, who expresses his frustration at not being accepted by the ton despite his prestigious new title. This leads to unpleasant bedroom encounters with Lady Danbury.

George sends a cute Pomeranian pup to Charlotte as a means of helping her cope with her solitude. However, instead of appreciating the gesture, she insults the puppy by referring to it as a deformed bunny. Brimsley suggests inviting Agatha over for tea, and to Charlotte's surprise, Agatha reveals that the Queen is unaware of how to be intimate with the King. Determined to help, Agatha decides to create illustrations to demonstrate what should occur in the royal bedroom.

Desperate for information about the King and Queen's marriage, Princess Augusta contacts Agatha after learning about her meeting with the new Queen. Although Agatha refuses to reveal anything, she offers to strike a deal with the Princess. In exchange for information, Agatha requests that her partner get the same privileges as other nobles, including money and lands that come with aristocratic titles.

Agatha's demands are met, and we see her and her husband preparing to move into their newly acquired manor. Lord Danbury is oblivious to the fact that his partner was responsible for their good fortune. Instead, he considers it a reward for his excellence.

Charlotte is taken aback when her partner agrees to join her for dinner. Despite her initial anger, the couple ends up consummating their marriage. In the present, Queen Charlotte urges her sons to end their relationships with their mistresses and find suitable wives. She seeks the advice of Viscountess Bridgerton and Lady Danbury and later devises a plan to find suitable wives for her sons on her own.

Taking a trip down memory lane, we find Charlotte yearning to connect with George over breakfast. However, upon going to call him, she overhears him shouting at his mother. He is confessing that everything he has done with Charlotte was for the sake of the throne. After Augusta leaves, the King faints in his chair. Reynolds offers to seek help immediately but vows to keep the King's illness a secret from Charlotte before doing so.
