The band practice for their sold-out tour, and instantly Billy and Daisy clash, arguing with one another. Billy doesn’t want key songs to feature on their setlist, and of course, Daisy battles against this decision. Outside the studio, Billy and Daisy argue in private. Daisy is mad that Billy calls her a headcase in the Rolling Stone article. Billy says that Daisy also told the journalist about confidential information, including the time he missed his daughter’s birth. Billy feels justified in his retaliation. Daisy storms into the studio, demanding they add ‘Regret Me’ and ‘Look at Us Now (Honeycomb)’ to the setlist. Billy readies a retort, but he’s off guard. Daisy’s husband, Nicky, arrives. Will this completely alter the band’s dynamics?

Rod Reyes (Timothy Olyphant), the band's tour manager, is hired by the group. Billy and Daisy make expensive requests; Billy wants two tour vehicles, while Daisy wants a luxurious wardrobe for her outrageous stage attire. Even though Rod tries to convince them that these are demands that only legends could make, the label accedes to all of their demands.

The tour kicks off in the winter of 1976. They start with a small venue in Albuquerque and get off to a fantastic start. Daisy channels Stevie Nicks with her iconic dress sense and large stage presence. Billy and Daisy seem to bond again, although Nicky is always watching from the sidelines. The tour has a lot of drug use and partying. Billy declines involvement, though, choosing to exercise in the night or isolate himself from the others in his separate tour bus.

Tensions continue to soar during a press briefing. Daisy finds the reporters' questions to be intrusive as they concentrate on her lyrics and attire. Daisy wants the reporters to hear the truth, despite Billy's attempts to minimize the inquiries. Billy and Daisy then continue to argue. He gets charged with lying by Daisy. Billy, however, believes Daisy is also lying to herself because she is not in love with Nicky. In the meantime, Karen makes it known to the group that she and Graham are dating.

Camila joins the tour briefly, and the band party is even harder. Camila talks with Eddie privately, and it seems like they had an affair the night Camila walked out on Billy. She tells Eddie that she was lost and hurt at the time, and it won’t ever happen again. That night, Daisy and Nicky have sex, but Daisy’s mind is elsewhere. Billy is in her head again; she is starting to have doubts about Nicky.
