The trio finds its groove in the studio and creates some of its best music yet in Episode 6. Graham, Karen, Warren, and Eddie use their downtime to record their instruments. Meanwhile, Daisy and Billy spend hours bickering and creating lyrics. Teddy contacts Rolling Stone to ask for a reporter to do an article about the album before it is released because the tracks are so good. Jonah Berg (Nick Pupo), a recent contributor to the magazine, was selected as the journalist to pen the article. He had no idea that this article included enough information to develop into a sensational exposé.

Through intense eye contact, encoded music, and flirty snide remarks, Daisy and Billy look like they are in a relationship even though they aren’t. In one instance in the studio, Billy asks Daisy to help him fix a line in a song he is writing. Jonah can't help but whistle at their interaction. Trying to brush off the rumors, The Six's frontman assures that nothing is going on between them. He even compares his relationship with Daisy to Bonnie and Clyde, "just an act."

Camila (Camila Morrone) was a crucial part of The Six while recording their debut album. She would catch the songs before anyone else and videotape their performances. Daisy and Billy now write songs independently, and Camila no longer has a connection to her husband's musical endeavors. She vents her annoyance to Karen and even confronts Billy. Camila must raise their daughter by herself rather than join him in the production of "Aurora." She reads the lyrics to "Please" in Billy's notebook after hearing her husband and Daisy talking one night. The content of the song, which conjures a different picture of the picture-perfect family that he used to write about, causes her to feel immediately hurt.

Billy lies to everyone, but he is fully aware that nothing is going on between him and Daisy. They stop at the beach to look at the water and be open with one another after leaving the studio together. Billy tells Daisy that the changes she made to their debut song, "Honeycomb/Look At Us Now," improved it. Additionally, he highlights how she improves everything. Even though the talk takes them to Daisy's hotel room, Billy chooses to leave rather than succumb to the pressure. Daisy goes to the pool to smoke a cigarette once he gets home and unintentionally runs into the reporter reporting on The Six.
