Episode 4 of Daisy Jones & The Six titled ‘Track 4: I Saw The Light’ begins with The Six hearing their song ‘Look At Us Now (Honeycomb)’ everywhere and getting excited. Of course, except for Billy who claims his version was about redemption and love. Daisy had turned it into a celebration of doubt which he hated. He wanted to make new music immediately but the song was a hit and they all got their first pay checks.

Their spending represented their personalities. Graham buys a surfboard, Karen invests in the stock market, Billy rents a place just for him and Camila, Warren buys a fur vest and Eddie buys fancy guitar equipment. They are invited to their first gig in a Hawaii music festival after the disastrous tour. While their name is last on the lineup list, they are excited.

Billy is concerned because he thinks they need more time to prepare. Eddie complains as usual about their scheduled time, which is at 1 pm. Daisy sits out to the side as they have a group huddle. Karen reveals the catch: the organizers also wanted Daisy to perform alongside them.

Billy attempts to encourage her, but Daisy is being her haughty self. He informs her that after the fourth performance of their joint song, he would call her to the stage. Daisy, who is now alone, suddenly appears anxious as the band takes the stage, and she swallows a medication.

The crowd chants her name and she asks if they want her to stay for one more song. Daisy tells the interviewer that they didn’t let her leave. She sings with Billy and while they sing into the mic, touching cheeks and looking at each other, it seems more like a fight as they battle for the mic. However, it comes across as chemistry and the crowd loves it.

The band is in amazement after the performance, but when Billy questions her about coming on early, she cheekily responds that because all of his songs are similar, she mistakenly believed he had already performed three songs. The festival speaks with them and inquires about their upcoming project. Daisy has performed Billy's song, and he praises her and adds it will only happen once.

The reporter appears disgruntled, while Daisy is irate. She approaches Billy and claims that she is the author of the song. He exits after wishing her luck. Billy is in the van when Karen approaches him and suggests that they work together. Although Daisy is talented, he is enraged since he claims that she receives all the attention.

Daisy claims that Billy refused to acknowledge his need for assistance, so she turned her rage into songwriting. She and Simone are watching TV one day when they overhear a girl group singing. However, it turns out that one of the performers is lip-syncing to Simone's voice. Simone blames herself for not letting Lee have his way with her since she believes he must have exploited her voice as retaliation, which has Daisy indignant.

She needs a new beginning, according to Simone, and Bernie is in New York. Bernie makes Daisy happy, and Daisy encourages her to pursue her dreams. Daisy claims that Simone was her only true friend and that without her, she felt alone. She enters a former residence that belongs to someone.
