Review

As the episode opens, Daisy struggles for inspiration to write additional songs for her solo album. Teddy is happy when she performs her debut song for him, but he wants her to write ten more songs that are even better. Simone, who is recording her own solo LP in the meantime, is hindered when her producer makes overtures toward her in the recording space.

Simone meets Bernie, a possible love interest, at a pool party. Daisy rekindles her relationship with her ex-boyfriend who used her lyrics to write a popular song. She confronts him about it, but he won't admit she is involved, so she pushes him into the water.

After finishing rehab, Billy goes home and meets his daughter for the first time. He makes an effort to change his ways by working out every day and completing do-it-yourself tasks around the house. He feels bad about his previous actions. After the tour was canceled, the label dropped the band, and he eventually left The Six out of dread of the temptation of the rock star lifestyle. Eddie accidentally fills the lead singer position by accident after the band arranges auditions for a replacement.

Camila urges Billy to confront his worries and become a better father despite Billy's desire to move back to Pittsburgh with his family. Also, he creates a brand-new song that he is pleased with, but the label rejects it. Teddy sends Daisy into the recording studio so she may work on the song with the band, but when Daisy adds her lyrics, Billy becomes uncomfortable and storms out. They eventually unite to sing a duet, producing a stunning, spine-tingling performance. The characters and their interactions with one another are still being developed in this episode. One of the band's highlights is Daisy and Billy's partnership, and it's intriguing to watch them adjust to Eddie taking over as lead singer after Billy's departure. The incident prepares the ground for upcoming disagreements and alliances.

Daisy Jones & The Six is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
