Bosch: Uncovering the Dark Secrets of Season 1 Episode 3

The third episode of Bosch, starring Titus Welliver as the eponymous Detective Harry Bosch, revealed more secrets about Bosch’s character and past, introducing new characters and moving the storyline forward.

After a man commits suicide with a handgun, Bosch and Edgar investigate his death. They believe it to be a murder case when they find that he was murdered with his own gun, which was owned by a wealthy member of society.

The trail leads them back to L.A.P.D, who refused to search for him when he went missing after confronting them about their refusal to look into his brother's death two years ago. While investigating each officer who was involved in covering up both deaths, Bosch learns how deep corruption can go within law enforcement. He also learns that if you hide something long enough, it will come back to haunt you...

One noteworthy scene in episode 3 is the man who was struck by a passing car and left for dead, but Harry believes there’s more to it than meets the eye. Evidence at the scene suggests that he was run over intentionally.

The victim had no enemies—except one man with whom he crossed paths briefly in prison. Harry must find him to uncover what happened on that dark night.
