1941: An aging Julian Harker documents his thoughts, sending these recordings to Hasan. Recognizing imminent threats in London, Hasan shares the recordings with fellow officers.

Flash forward to 2023: Hasan acquires an ancient vault key from Barber’s residence and rushes to Harker Bank. Intriguingly, the bank manager reveals the vault was registered in Hasan's name back in 1941.

Within the vault lies an unexpected device: a bomb. As they inspect it, a phone rings. When Hasan answers, Elias's voice forewarns of an explosion set for July 14th.

Reverting to 1941: Whiteman, apprehended by an officer who is Polly Hillinghead's progeny, resorts to violence. After murdering the officer, he gains entry into Harker House by eliminating the butler. Locating Polly, he fatally shoots her, then confronts Julian Harker. Upon Julian's death, a resigned acceptance is evident; the events seem cyclical. Whiteman's ensuing arrest results in a death sentence.

In 1890: Julian Harker presents Hillinghead with a dilemma: surrender or face Henry Ashe's framing. Hillinghead, unwilling to implicate Henry, encourages him to escape. Henry, however, chooses to confront the situation. Hillinghead, in a candid confession, admits his affection for Henry to his wife. Their discussion is interrupted by police, arresting Hillinghead for homicide.

Back in 2023: Post the bank's bomb revelation, Hasan gets summoned by Barber to a distant boat rendezvous. Though asked to come unaccompanied, she covertly includes another officer. This officer discreetly incapacitates the boat's captain. As Barber and Elias, father and son, reunite, Barber shares a pivotal paper bearing the bomb's deactivation code, leaving Elias to decide.

However, tragedy strikes, and Barber is shot. Distraught Elias, under Hasan's pressure, hands over the detonator. Before Elias's incarceration, Hasan allows him a brief meeting with Sarah, his mother. Sarah's guilt, however, prevents a reunion. Overwhelmed, Elias manages an escape, triggering the bomb which devastates London.

In 2053: KYAL detains Chapel Perilous. Despite Hasan's efforts, she can't prevent Elias from activating the Throat. Iris, keen to assist Mannix, follows his directives. Mannix, though, disappears shortly upon entry. As Defoe and Hasan grapple with a recurring sequence, Defoe's time-travel attempt is halted when Iris shoots him, propelling him across various timelines.

The episode culminates with Elias Mannix's unclothed figure sprawled on Whitechapel streets. As children clothe him, he notices the Throat's mark on his wrist - a testament to his temporal journey. This realization confirms his mission's success.

This chapter accelerates the plot, mending the lag from its predecessor. The interwoven timelines begin to coalesce, offering clarity to the past, present, and future events. Though the episode boasts heartfelt interactions and commendable performances, occasional clichéd dialogues slightly dampen the experience.
