Review: The Curse of Bridge Hollow
- Oct 22, 2022
It’s difficult to not find a charm in a family-friendly Halloween movie that instills the spirit of the holiday while embracing it on a big scale.
Bridge Hollow is a small town that takes its Halloween decorations very seriously. Every year, the residents go all out to make their town the most festive place around. But this year, something goes wrong. An evil spirit unleashes and starts wreaking havoc by making the decorations come to life. It's up to Howard (Marlon Wayans) —a Halloween-hating dad—and his teenage daughter Sydney (Priah Ferguson) to stop the curse before it's too late.
Despite a clever premise, decent special effects and tone, "The Curse of Bridge Hollow" isn’t for serious horror fans. The story delivers but if you’re looking for a solid scare this Halloween season, you won’t find it here. All in all, The Curse of Bridge Hollow is a cute movie that will appeal to younger viewers who are interested in getting into horror movies. While it may not be the most entertaining film for adults, it is still a fun way to spend an evening with the family. If you want a harmless way to get your kids into the spirit of things, this one might just do the trick.
