In the first scene of episode 8, Wednesday encounters Tyler in the woods and confronts him about Hyde. He immediately refutes the accusations. He queries Wednesday as to why, if she truly believed he was the Hyde, she would face him unaccompanied in the woods. Bianca uses her powers to hypnotize him as Wednesday responds that she didn't arrive alone and that she was accompanied by a few sirens.

They transport him to Xavier's art studio where they use shackles to restrain him to the chair. Wednesday begins questioning him. It turns out that Tyler's mother was a Hyde, and she believes Tyler inherited her genes. Tyler argues that just because he is the son of an outcast doesn't automatically make him evil.

The sirens report her to the principal after leaving her on her own because they didn't sign up to witness someone being tormented. The sheriff, who was listening to Dr. Kinbott's evaluation of Tyler during their therapy session, is called by the principal. The therapist had grave concerns about Tyler's psychological damage caused by his mother's passing before she passed away. He hurries to save Tyler from Wednesday's determined hands after getting the call.

Although the sheriff doesn't file any charges, he issues Wednesday a warning not to pursue the case further. Tyler requests a private conversation with Wednesday as she prepares to leave the police station. He admits to the crime and makes fun of her for being mistaken.

After deciding that enough is enough, the principal dismisses Wednesday and instructs her to leave the school the following afternoon. Wednesday tries to persuade her to give her extra time to establish Tyler's Hyde status. The head of the school declines and expresses disappointment with how things turned out.
