Jericho's coroner commits suicide on Family Weekend. In his suicide note, the coroner says he couldn't face the shame of fabricating Garrett Gates' documents. Sheriff Galpin believes justice has been done and arrests Gomez in Nevermore.

Wednesday visits Gomez in jail, taking her father's confession. Garrett loved Morticia, Gomez says. When Morticia rejected him, Garret stalked her and threatened to ruin her life. Gomez and Morticia complained to the police, but they were ignored. Garrett broke into Nevermore during Rave'N, spotted Morticia kissing Gomez, and tried to kill him. Gomez fought against Garrett's onslaught, causing his death.

Wednesday finds Morticia at the Nightshades' secret library. Wednesday learns the truth from Morticia about Gomez's falsehoods. Garrett almost killed Gomez at the Rave'N. Morticia killed the youngster with a sword. Morticia says Garrett wasn't himself that night. His anger caused him to foam saliva and widen his pupils. Wednesday thinks Garrett's behavior may have been caused by Nightshade poisoning, meaning he was dying before he was stabbed.

Together, Wednesday and Morticia dig up Garrett's grave to corroborate Wednesday's theory. They then wind up in jail with Gomez after desecrating Garrett's tomb, but not before the girl steals one of the corpse's fingers for proof. Garrett's father detested outsiders and made him poison Rave'N punch. Before committing mass murder in Nevermore, Garrett clashes with Gomez and breaks his poison flask.

Morticia and Wednesday take the proof to Mayor Walker the next day. Walker covered up Garrett's poisoning since his father was one of Jericho's most prominent men. The Addams ladies force the Mayor to rescue Gomez and clear his account. Wednesday and Morticia bond while solving the murder, and Morticia assures her daughter she'll always be there. Morticia discovers Wednesday's psychic visions and tells her an ancestor will teach her to manage them.
