As the Benandanti, Cesaria, and Pietro enter Serra to address the populace, Episode 5 of Luna Nera begins. They declare that anyone spotted assisting a woman without a man present will be put on trial and put to death. Tebe informs Ade in the Dwelling that after the lunar cycle is finished, her abilities will awaken and the book will be decoded. She reveals that Marzio, who is a strong person, is in possession of the book because she is concerned about it.

Since the book will let them to bridge the line separating life and death, bringing his mother back, Pietro finds his father babbling about receiving a second chance in Serra. Later, Cesaria confronts him over their kiss the previous evening. When he expresses his confusion to her, she informs him that his father is looking for him because Spirto has developed a new weapon.

Spirto informs Pietro that he is no longer certain that he wants to be a Benandante while sharpening the new swords. Since he is unsure of who Ade actually is, Pietro is likewise conflicted. Persepolis, who has been listening to the entire time, then shows up to Spirto after he departs. In order to keep her secure, he advises getting married and warns her that it's risky. She is moved by this, but she swiftly departs because she is aware that it is not feasible.

The young girl goes home and tells her parents what she overheard: the cardinal is the one who has the book, and later this evening he will bless the weapons in the inn. Tebe and Leptis clash over how to proceed as a result of their divergent perspectives on the situation. Tebe insists that returning the book should be their top priority.
