Another spooky flashback opens Episode 6 of 1899, allowing our ragtag group of survivors to congregate on the bridge. In her desperation to find out where the boy is, Tove begins to lose control. Daniel exhorts them all to stay together, warning that if they don't locate land, they'll perish on the open sea.

For the time being, they must disperse, with Mrs. Wilson going in search of survivors, Eyk going in search of the boy, and the others going in search of a way to restart the engines. Trusting one another is the only way to get through this.

Eyk and Maura continue their search at the hospital, but this time they come across some strange black stuff spreading. Daniel forbids them from touching it and begs Maura to keep her identity in mind. He warns them that time is running out and that much depends on Maura remembering her history. "I won't abandon you once more," Daniel claims that as they struggle, Eyk is knocked to the ground and mysteriously teleported to the woods.

Maura, meanwhile, goes outside and fires the gun into the air, hitting the glass, which breaks. It appears that the impression that this is a vast, open space is really that—a perception. As Eyk steps outside and peers out the window of the Prometheus, he notices something startling. She quickly whispers to herself as she pulls back a panel on the glass to reveal the exterior of the ship. The view pans out to reveal the water surrounding them. which is crammed full of other ships, all of which have been abandoned or destroyed.
