Apple has its next big event scheduled for October 18. What announcements can we expect heading into Apple’s October Event?
Didn’t we just have an Apple Event?
Yes, we sure did. They had a big event in September, where they announced the iPhone 13 lineup (12 Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max), the Apple Watch Series 7, and a new entry-level iPad. But, rumors were already out there that Apple was actually saving some announcements for another event this fall, with the follow-up event coming in October,
When is it?
The new event number will happen on October 18 at 1 pm ET. If you’re interested in watching it live, just tune in to the livestream on Apple’s website.
New Product Announcements?
Even after the announcements from September, we expect a few more to come out in the October event.
AirPods 3
This one has been rumored for a while. The AirPods 3 would likely have similar features to the AirPods Pro (interchangeable tips, a smaller charging case, and spatial audio support). Other features that might be included are easier device switching, some fitness features, and a shorter stem.
iMac Upgrade
Apple has already announced an iMac powered by the new M1 processor, but it was just one model. So, it’s possible that upgrade will be extended to the Mac Mini and the larger 27-inch iMac.
Apple Displays
We may see some less expensive entries into the Apple Display arena, as this has been rumored for the past year.
New MacBook Pro and Mac Pro
With the Apple M1 chip rolling out into more products, it would make sense to see it included in new versions of the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro.
Apple TV
Keep an eye out for something like a soundbar with Apple TV built-in, to streamline the streaming video and audio experience.
VR/AR
Augments and virtual reality headsets have been strong performers for several other companies, so will Apple make the leap into this arena? We could definitely see an announcement on that during the October event.
Surprises?
It’s also always smart to keep an eye out for a surprise announcement or two, that hasn’t even been rumored.
