Yeah, we know. Travel backpacks? That is so 2019. But, we’re looking toward 2021 with a positive outlook and a time when people can safely and comfortably hop on a flight and travel for business or pleasure again.
Check out these cool travel backpacks to consider for your first trip in the real world in 2021.
Osprey Farpoint 40
This is one of the most popular travel backpacks on the market. It has a convenient front-loading design that makes it easy to use. It also holds a lot of gear and most reviews note its comfort when worn as a backpack. The straps can also be easily stowed away, making it more of a simple travel bag with a carry handle.
This one gets some great reviews from various travel sites and experts as a versatile backpack for business travel, vacations, GAP year travel, and even a little light hiking. It is available on Amazon.
eBags Pro Slim Weekender
The Weekender was redesigned in 2019, making it more lightweight and adding a few new features. It’s a TSA-friendly travel bag, with well-designed compartments for laptops, other electronics, books, travel documents, and toiletries.
I’ve owned a Weekender myself and it’s my favorite travel backpack/light travel bag. It’s a bit big for a daily laptop bag and not quite big enough to act like a suitcase for a long trip, but I’ve completed multiple 1-2 day trips using this as my only bag with great results. The Pro Slim Weekender is available on the eBags website.
Solgaard Lifepack Solar 2.0
This one was recently featured on CNET, as a top tech travel product. It comes with plenty of pockets to keep your items organized, from laptops to your phone and sunglasses. There are also some great hidden pockets designed for valuables, plus it has an anti-theft lock to keep the bag secure on your travels. You may also love the built-in power bank and Bluetooth speaker.
The bag charges from either a wall outlet or a built-in solar panel, to slowly recharge when you’re out exploring. You can also save a few dollars by forgoing the speaker and opting for a smaller powerbank. You can pick up the Lifepack Solar 2.0 on the Solgaard website.
Nomatic Travel Bag
This bag is designed for the digital nomad and was initially launched through a successful Kickstarter campaign. It has some cool features, like a dedicated underwear pocket, power cord management system, and the expected dedicated laptop pocket.
The bag also converts to a duffel back for easy attachment to a rolling suitcase. Nomatic has a line of travel bags to suit any traveler’s needs. You can find a variety of options on Amazon.
