The Drop (2022) – January 13
Young and married, Lex and Mani run their ideal artisanal bakery in Los Angeles and are eager to raise a family. Lex’s ovulation cycle coincides with a trip to a tropical island resort for a friend’s destination wedding. However, it feels like the ideal time to get pregnant. Shortly after they arrive in paradise, Lex inadvertently drops her friend’s infant in front of all of their pals, putting a stop to the positive sentiments and high hopes. Recriminations, passive hostility, and old scars start to permeate the island reunion, turning paradise into purgatory for our couple and casting Mani and Lex’s future into serious doubt.

With nothing more than a great deal of desperation and a tiny amount of optimism, Jen sets out on her quest to discover her potential superpower. But in doing so, she might experience the delight of being only a little bit okay.
