Werewolf By Night, the conclusion of She-Hulk, Andor, and more are all available on Disney+ this month, making it the friendliest of the streaming services to get a little spookier. Here are our recommendations for October.
Werewolf By Night (Oct. 7)
Werewolf By Night should be a terrific way to start the Halloween season on Disney+, even though it appeared out of nowhere. Gael Garca Bernal portrays Jack Russell, the main character of the 1970s comic book series, as he battles the Man-Thing and monster hunters. I’m pretty pumped for this.
The New Mutants (October 14)
It was a long shot to make a horror film based on the Marvel mutant mythology, and The New Mutants didn’t exactly land on its feet. But the long-delayed movie gets praise for attempting to delve deeper into these young people’s psyches by straying from the MCU’s familiar territory of jokes and crossovers.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi (Oct. 26)
In this brand-new collection of Star Wars shorts that tour the far-off galaxy, go back to the prequels. The six short films address the ethics and morality of the Jedi method with Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku as their main protagonists. Tales of the Jedi appears to carry on the trend of incredibly strong new animated content.
