Updated Marvel Release Calendar

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a LOT of content coming out in the months and years ahead. But, as we’ve learned during the pandemic, release schedules can change. That’s exactly what we just learned with an announcement from Disney about some revised release dates for a number of upcoming movies.  Check out our list below for the latest release schedules.

Movies

Eternals (November 5, 2021) - A new group of heroes to face a new menace - The Deviants. There are some big-name movies stars joining the MCU for this one (Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek, among others.)

Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 2021) - Rumors have been crazy that we’ll see the previous actors who played Spider-Man, along with various villains from those films.  It’s going to be a big movie, probably the biggest in the MCU in 2021.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 6, 2022) - We expect this to stem from the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and possibly WandaVision.  It’s now been pushed back a few months.

Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8, 2022) - Another fun entry into the Thor series, featuring Jane Foster taking up the hammer!  This one is another that has been delayed a few months.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (November 11, 2022) - There is little to no information on who, if anyone, will be taking on the mantle as Black Panther, but we’re looking forward to more Wakanda. Delayed several months from the original date.

The Marvels (February 17, 2023) - We’ll get Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau as Photon in what should be a fun film.  Another delayed release schedule.

Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania (July 28, 2023) - Our (sometimes) diminutive hero will return in what we expect to be another adventure into the Quantum Realm.  Delayed a few months from the original schedule.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023) - Everyone knows this will be the Guardians’ last feature film, but will we lose some fan-favorite characters or will they get more happy endings? The last of the rescheduled releases through 2023.

Unnamed MCU Movie (November 3, 2023) - We’re not sure what movie this might be, but Disney has marked this date on the calendar for an upcoming MCU release. Perhaps it is one of the TBA films below.

Fantastic Four (TBA) - Multiple studios have tried and failed to deliver a decent Fantastic Four movie.  Will the MCU break the streak?  Let’s hope so.

Updated Marvel Release Calendar

Blade (TBA) - Loki let us know that vampires exist in the MCU, so we are stoked to get a new version of Blade on the screen.

Disney Plus Shows

Hawkeye (December 2021) - Hawkeye always gets shortchange in the MCU, since… well he’s an archer.  But, let’s see if this series can win some more fans over to the character.

Ms. Marvel (2022) - We’ll meet Kamala Khan, as a teenaged superhero who idolizes Captain Marvel.

Moon Knight (2022) - This one should be very strange, as the main character suffers from multiple personality disorder.

She-Hulk (2022) - Tatiana Maslany joins the MCU as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters.  We’ll also get visits from the Hulk, Abomination, and potentially other MCU staple characters.

Secret Invasion (2022) - Nick Fury will take center stage in this film about the shape-shifting Skrulls who have been replacing human beings for years.

Ironheart (TBA) - Welcome the new Iron Man! Who (Riri Williams) happens to be a young, genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit since Iron Man. She is also said to appear in Wakanda Forever.

Armor Wars (TBA) - Bring on the armor! War Machine will return and fight some of Tony Stark’s armor tech that has reached the wrong hands.

I am Groot (TBA) - What more can we say?  It’s Groot!

Loki: Season 2 (TBA) - We’ll get more adventures with our reformed version of Loki as he navigates the shattered multiverse.

What If…?:  Season 2 (TBA) - Well who knows after the end of season 1!
