It turns out that Hotel Obsidian was constructed around a sky portal sought after by none other than Sir Hargreeves, who we know from the past season is actually an alien. Behind the hidden door in the White Buffalo Suite is that portal. He dispatched a crew to eliminate whatever was hiding on the opposite side of the illuminated tunnel during the hotel’s grand opening celebration. One barely made it back, but he managed to say the words “all dead” before passing away.
The Kugelblitz has destroyed everything but the block on which the hotel is located, thus the Hargreeves are puzzled as to why they are the last people left standing. Ben is aware that it is because they are unique and the only ones who have the power to preserve the cosmos. But Five is aware that it’s too late. It is done. It has only been 28 days since Five returned to the Hargreeves in season 1, but they have spent the previous 28 days preventing three distinct apocalypses from occurring, and each time they have made things worse. He informs them that he was advised not to save the world by his 100-year-old self, and that he is prepared to put away his umbrella.
Luther and Sloane announce they are getting married.
Sloane’s invitation to their wedding is revoked by Luther, but Ben is prepared to battle and is still trying to win her approval. Reggie is truly stunned by Five’s words, though. He is aware of Project Oblivion and is aware that Reggie intends to gamble for the rest of their life.
Viktor agrees when Luther asks him to be the best man at the wedding as everyone scatters after Klaus drags Reg away. Ben ends up being the only person who was overlooked for Luther’s bachelor party.
