UFC 270 Main Card Preview

We're back with our second UFC fight of the year with exciting flyweight and heavyweight bouts. Here's a quick preview of UFC card 270.

Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane

UFC likes to go big or go home. So they chose the two best heavyweight fighters in the world to headline the main event. As former teammates and training partners, it will be really fun to see this one play out.

Ngannous had a good year last year, winning five straight fights and improving his overall offensive arsenal by becoming more well-rounded.

Gane is still undefeated at 10-0 in the octagon and also had a hell of a fight last year against Derrick Lewis.

Either way this match ends up, I think fans and viewers are going to see a good fight and a lot of skill displayed from both athletes.

Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo

In case that wasn't enough, we have a flyweight saga between these two fighters as they come together this weekend to complete their title fight triology.

This one, however, will be different than the first two fights. Moreno was previously title challenger. But now he holds the belt. Will he be able to hold onto it?

I can honestly see this one going either way, but I am fan of Moreno so I'll be rooting for him.

Michel Pereira vs. Andre Fialho

UFC 270 Main Card Preview

Here we have our welterweight class with Pereira getting pressured to continue his 3-fight winning streak against newcomer, Fialho.

Known for having a bit of a wild style, Pereira just needs to show the patience he has in the past and combine it with the explosive techniques that make him fun to watch.

Fialho simply has the pressure to perform will in the big leagues. Even if he doesn't walk away with the win, he can prove he belongs in the octagon as a serious contender.

Cody Stamann vs. Said Nurmagomedov

Here we have another newcomer/underdog to the ring in Nurmagomedov. But veteran Stamann isn't necessarily coming off any big winning streak either.

This one will be interesting to see if long-time experience really does pay off, or of the win is for anyone's taking.

Rodolfo Vieira vs. Wellington Turman

Last but not least on the main card, is our middleweight fight featuring two Brazilians. Vieira has world champ BJJ (that's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for you folks) skills. But at 32 years old, Vieira is seven years old than his opponent.

We'll see how this compatriotic fight shakes out.
