This episode starts with Reece having fragmented memories of his old home and family through their shared happy moments. He is in Colorado with Ben in his boat, watching as the three officers in Reece’s list meet in Pillar’s office. They argue over their need to escape, but Cox clearly states that he could not flee in fear of Reece. Secretary Hartley walks in on them and criticizes Pillars’ decision to use a flimsy tip to inform the pursuit of Kahani, which led to the deaths of many soldiers.
Katie makes a deal with the FBI to help her finish her story, and in return, she would help them find Reece. In her investigation, she unveils that Pillar, Howard, and Cox are all involved in testing RD-4895, as they received payment for the same. Tony takes Pillar, while Ben and Reece take on Howard and Cox, respectively. Reece drowns Cox after confessing his crimes and uses Howard as a suicide bomber to kill him and Pillar.
Even though Pillar, Cox, and Howard did the cover-up of the RD-4895 project, Katie discovers that Secretary Hartley authorized the operation and includes that detail in her report and sends it for publishing. Back to Reece, he is at home grieving his loss and wishing he was with his family. Tony raids his house after learning about Reece’s hit on Pillar, Cox, and Howard to arrest him. Reece overpowers and restrains him. Elsewhere, Katie is informed that her report never reached her editor, and as she checks for it, Secretary Hartley walks in on her. She tells her that her story is beautiful, but she cannot let her publish it. However, she promises Katie an interview as the episode ends.
