Episode 4 of “The Girl from Plainville” begins with Conrad gasping and sweating before overdosing on medication. Conrad calls his moms and then throw-ups in his room.
This is a gut-wrenching opening, perhaps the most emotionally painful opening in the series.

We see Conrad texting Michelle. He convinces her that his life is worthless (a joke), and she asks him to open up about her. He believes that he doesn’t deserve her, and he tells her that he loves her.
Rayburn and Adams find that Conrad’s dad and Rayburn got into a violent dispute in 2013. This arouses their concerns about the case, as they may have been the actual motives for Conrad’s death.

Conrad and Michelle’s love story winds on, and their adapted text conversations are captivating, even while tinged by awareness of the couple’s troublesome future.
Elle Fanning (Michelles) continues to give a brilliant performance as the tortured teen who feels deserted by her friends and reacts in some unhealthy ways. The primary season of the show does an excellent job of humanizing and remaining accountable for the title character.
Watch Or Not
This show is so very TRUE. This generation of teens has been said to be the most depressed generation of teens — and this show shows how depression, coupled with toxic environments and emotional immaturity, can lead to tragic outcomes.
This is most definitely a watch if you can touch on the all too real drama of suicide.
