This is major. We’ve seen Miranda do several questionable things throughout the season, but the infamous murder events noted here all happened behind the screen; that is a choice by making to hide the identity of the murderer.
Miranda explains to Cassie how Alex, due to getting drunk and putting too much at stake, discovered that his parents were crooked and that he was working with crooks without his knowledge.
In response, he hid a lot of money and fled. Miranda suspects that her boss, Victor, is responsible for all of the deaths and that he’s using his recurring psychopathic, Felix, to carry on these activities. They both may suspect him.
Cassie and Miranda also discover something when they learn that Alex wouldn’t just leave the amount of money lying around in a hotel room.
