Episode Recap
From the start of the episode “Satori,” we are introduced to three of Elizabeth’s team members. Edmond Ku is a level-headed team member. Rakesh, who serves as the comic relief, and Ian Gibbons (Played by the GREAT Stephen Fry), who acts as the team’s elder.
It is the day for the demo of the latest Theranos invention. It is a demonstration with plenty of laughing and banter among Theranos employees. Elizabeth decides to make an incredible speech, but there are too many buildups, and the machine goes wrong.
Elizabeth desperately seeks money for injection and seeks out Robertson for feedback. The Professor recommends that she look for new clients and investors, and she enthusiastically pitches to half of the Tech Industry. Through an amusing montage, Elizabeth presents to different venture capital firms with no joy.
The Ending
Episode two delves into the deeper side of the business while exposing humanity’s darker aspects. Morals are getting tangled and twisted, but the saga is as enthralling as ever.
Seyfried is again so engaging as our flawed hero, driven by a single-minded pursuit of success at any cost. Our cute rogue has a long way to go, but there might be a chance for redemption.
