In Episode 7 of The Dropout, Elizabeth Holmes is seen sitting for interviews from 2015 with political leaders, participating in a profile for TIME, and being trailed by security personnel.
But all this prestige might be about to fall. Wall Street Journal ‘s John Carreyrou is onto Theranos. He has several doctors who wish to testify against falsely Theranos tests and his peers from Theranos itself. Now, he has to give Theranos time to respond to his questions.
Mark Roessler downloads hundreds of business e-mails to his hard drive. Mark leaves the building with Sunny, who is yelling after him that he will sue.
Elizabeth and Sunny both speak to their attorney, David Boies. They do not want to reply to The Journal’s questions, so David Boies does what he suggests, implying that they go after Carreyrou’s sources.
Sunny influenced the doctors to whom he offered to testify against Theranos, persuading them to sign non-disclosure agreements.
Episode Review
At this point, Hulu’s limited series of The Dropout is almost wholly preoccupied with deploying plot points and showing character behavior in an instruction manual.

Forces threaten Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos; Sunny slaps back. It has been a long and tiring round for the last seven episodes.
