‘She-Hulk’ Season 1, Episode 8 Recap: Jennifer Walters vs. Daredevil

The two most famous attorneys in the Marvel Cinematic Universe square off in court as Matt Murdock steps in to represent Luke.

At first glance, it’s clear that Jen and Matt have chemistry, which grows stronger as they spend more time together. Matt prevails in court, and we learn that Leap Frog is manipulative. Daredevil arrives to rescue Luke after Leap Frog, and his thugs abduct him. She-Hulk and her new antagonist get into a huge brawl since she doesn’t know Leap Frog is lying to her.

Leap Frog is captured, and soon after, Jen and Matt do the deed in their regular forms. She-Hulk’s final act is to accept an award for Female Lawyer of the Year. She shares it with a small group of other women, but then the ceremony quickly devolves into chaos.

Fans who may have missed the Netflix series still get a chance to say hello to Daredevil and the MCU thanks to his appearance in “She-Hulk.” As a result, it should motivate people who haven’t seen “Daredevil” before to catch up in anticipation of the new series.

In episode 8 of She-Hulk, Josh (Trevor Salter) brings Jen to pound town and steals her blood. Intelligence appears to have what they want from Jen at this time; the decision to publicly shame her at the Female Lawyer of the Year celebration is puzzling. Why drag her to the bottom once they have her blood? Unfortunately for Jen, incels will be incels; thus, her suffering may never stop.
