Recap: Christmas on Mistletoe Farm on Netflix

Matt Cunningham (Scott Garnham), a recent widower with five children, faces balancing his job and parenting. Then, his estranged father’s attorney informs Matt that his father has left Mistletoe Farm to him. Matt takes his family to Mistletoe Farm while he prepares a presentation for work due on Christmas Eve.

Matt’s children, Rosie (Delilah O’Riordan), Lily (Madison Davis), Charlie (Evan Scott), Buster (Dexter Sol Ansell), and Violet (Faith Delaney), love the farm and the nearby town. The townspeople expect Matt to keep Mistletoe Farm and not sell it to developers. However, Matt signs the contract. So, his children and the townspeople attack the developers, and the developers leave.

Matt’s boss, Ms. Fletcher (Ashley Jensen), visits, becomes irritated with Matt, and fires him. Matt blames Beano (Scott Paige), who lives in the barn and tends to the farm. Beano heads to London, meets with Ms. Fletcher, and gets her to agree to rehire Matt. Beano returns with the developers. However, Matt doesn’t want his job back and no longer wants to sell Mistletoe Farm. The developers intend to hold Matt to the contract. However, Matt’s father’s attorney says Matt is restricted from selling Mistletoe Farm.

Then, Matt learns that his father is alive and is the town crier (Steven Wickham). He also finds out that his father had sent letters and presents, but his mother kept them from Matt.
