People vs. OJ Simpson Episode 9 Recap

Following the information passed along by an investigator, Bailey along with Cochran both travel to North Carolina, where they acquire cassette tapes of James Fuhrman recounting stories of murderers torturing, killing, and framing black men for fun.

The defense’s case for playing tapes in the courtroom is denied due to its irrelevance to the case. Among those people Fuhrman exposes on the tapes, one stands out as Captain York of the police force.

Judge Ito is married to her. In the proceeding’s pretrial build-up, she ruled that she had no contact with Fuhrman so that Ito could preside over the case.

The prospect of a mistrial is virtually nonexistent. Eventually, it allows certain portions of tapes to be played to help further prove Fuhrman’s perjury about being unreceptive to making racist comments.

Cochran brings Fuhrman back to the stand, at which point the officer refuses to answer any more questions, including whether he was the one who planted any evidence of Simpson’s guilt. Clark is dissatisfied with his dismal performance.

Watch Or Not

This may not be a fan favorite episode, but I found this episode to be quite enjoyable.

It is very clear that OJ did it, but the idea that there are cops out there who plant “evidence” on citizens they do not like is not uncommon and has happened before.

This gets a 4.5 out of 5.
