Only Murders in the Building - Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

This episode starts with Charles and Oliver interviewing the talking pet bird given to Oliver to try and get more out of it. However, they do not seem to get anywhere with this, and they decide to look into various pieces of evidence, such as the missing murder weapon and the victim’s last words. This approach also fails, and they finally settle on recreating Bunny’s previous day to get a better perspective.

This is Bunny’s last day as the president of the building’s board, and she seems somehow undecided. She goes shopping, eats at a local joint, and tips the attendant rather handsomely. She keeps bumping into the trio as she goes on with her day. Back at the building, she meets Nina, her prospective replacement, and Uma, who tells her that she will sneak into her flat and try on her furs. After exchanging pleasantries, the viewer sees Bunny in an elevator with Mabel and Charles. It breaks down, and she fixes it, realizing she does not want to go to Florida since she cannot stand the heat.

Only Murders in the Building - Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

She uses the meeting at which she was to step down to announce her change of plans. This infuriates Nina, and they exchange abuses. So far, Nina is the prime suspect in the trio’s book, even as their recollection of the day goes on. Bunny gifted the trio some booze as a congratulatory gesture, and they returned the act by giving her a pink hoodie. She hesitates at their door, but they shut the door in her face. The exchange features a vulnerable moment for Bunny, and Charles regrets not inviting her in. The trio may not have killed Bunny, but they had the chance to save her life.
