This episode begins with a history teacher explaining the hidden elevators and passages in the Arconia building as designed by Bunny’s grandfather. Then the viewer is taken to Mabel, Charles, and Oliver staring at Bunny’s painting, currently hanging inexplicably from Charles’ apartment wall. Their plan revolves around returning the painting to Bunny’s flat without being noticed. As they cook their plan, Howard comes through the door bearing invitations to an impromptu wake for Bunny. They attend and plan to sneak the painting inside through one of the secret elevators in the building.
At the party, Nina announces her board presidency, and Bunny’s mother demands the return of Bunny’s painting. She seems sure that the trio has nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, the trio tries to sneak into the painting, but the plan fails terribly. They abandon the painting by the dumpsters and return to their lives. Mabel has a therapeutic session with Alice, eventually becoming romantic, while Oliver finds Bunny’s painting in Amy’s house. Oliver wants his series deal signed, but Amy refuses to do it until Bunny’s real killer is caught.
Oliver shares his findings with his partners, who visit Amy’s house to inspect the painting. They find that it is a fake, amid Bunny’s mother’s demands to have the painting returned to her. This is an additional implication that Charles is being framed, and the trio will not rest until they catch the real killer. Oliver chats with Bunny’s mother and adopts Bunny’s pet bird. As the episode ends, the talking pet bird says, “I know who did it.”
