There are some clandestine groups in America considering their word definitive. Religious fanatics who adhere to the Constitution believe that the Constitution is a document from God.
Changing the Constitution to these fanatics is seen as immoral. They want to return to the old days when women knew their place and took care of the kids.
Hulu Under the Banner of Heaven Episode 3 Recap
Starting with a tense standoff in a cabin in the mountains and ending in a police station where two Lafferty brothers lament what has been done in the name of their faith, it takes us into a more profound journey of the Lafferty’s collective break with reality and descent into anti-government religious zealotry.
Detective Jeb Pyre and his comrades rapidly receive their first Lafferty, who will function as Detective Jeb’s French counterpart, at their secluded cabin.
The arresting officer is a fearful, red-eyed, leaky-nosed, broken-voiced characterization of anxiety and love targetted by her father, whom she truly loves, so much that she promised to defend him in a police car that he is a ringleader of a criminal underworld.
Review
With so many amazing scenes throughout this show, it can quickly turn into a run-of-the-mill true-crime drama. But the show does a great job transforming from just another crime drama into something more topically urgent.
