Allan Gore tells Betty that he has to go to work that weekend. Betty is concerned about her husband leaving her with a crying baby. She complains about aches and pains, but Allan comforts her before he departs for Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Candy and Pat Montgomery, friends of Betty and Allan, invite Christina Surname for a sleepover.
Candy's cheerfulness worries Betty, who reluctantly allows her to come along at noon. Candy has a great deal of work to do and decides to visit Betty before heading to the shopping center.
Allan leaves before Candy, leaving Betty alone with the child.
Review
Candy is Betty's killer. Her behavior gives away a lot across the rest of the day.
She explains her plans to everyone she meets as if she needs multiple alibis. She is also agitated as she vomits at one point.

This is most certainly a watch.
