The trailer of "Never Let Go" hints at potential plot twists. There are suspicions that, in a move reminiscent of M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village", the family could be living a tortured existence right next to ordinary civilization on the pretext of the world having ended.
A moment in the trailer where Halle Berry locks her sons in a crawlspace and threatens them seems to suggest that she might be the architect of this fearful lifestyle. Puzzlingly, it is unclear whether the sons see the eerie creatures shown, or if it is solely Berry's character who does.
The highly-anticipated movie will hit theaters on Friday, September 27, 2024. Fans of Berry should also look out for her upcoming film with Mark Wahlberg, "The Union", on Netflix in August.
