Traveling through the desert, two drifters discover the world's most valuable gold nugget, and their dream of significant wealth and greed takes hold.
"Gold!"
Is This Movie Any Good?
If you are anticipating a fantastic thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then with"Gold," you are in luck.
With the greed of gold, coupled with the harsh environment of the desert, and being isolated from society, what more could you ask for in regards to suspense?
"Gold" is, however, a long movie, coming in a bit over 90-minutes. There were parts in the movie where its pacing seemed to drag on, which may bore some people, if not turn them off.
This is not to take say that the movie is not watchable -- as it is, but a massive issue for me with this movie is that it was a bit too long.
The hallmark of the movie was Zac Efron's acting. Seeing his character lose his mind in the desert was genuinely brilliant -- and this only helps to show that Zac Efron is a competent actor.
Watch It Or Not
The movie is a bit long, but the acting is top-notch, and it makes you wonder, if you came across a piece of gold as huge as the one found in this movie, how could it change your life?
What would you do to keep it and to haul it off?
This is a watch.
I give it a solid "B."
