Amy’s dad, Hershel, announces that his wife, Maxine, will join him in escorting Amy down the aisle. He expresses concern about what food they’re serving and wants to know why Lino’s family isn’t attending.

Then, her mother asks to bring a new male friend to the Wedding and to have Maxine not seated with the family.

Lino explains to Amy’s father why his father is upset with him.

Amy tells Zora she’s worried his family’s disapproval will hurt her marriage. Zora says she is proud of the choices Amy has made, and Amy will control the success of her marriage.

Lino’s mother wants to attend the Wedding.

On their wedding day, Lino wishes his family was there. Amy tells him they will be a family.

Everything goes well. However, Amy cancels their honeymoon so they can visit Lino’s family in Sicily. Lino calls his family, but his father answers.
