Fool Me Once - Season 1, Episode 7 Recap

In the seventh episode of "Fool Me Once," the story picks up pace with Maya confronting Swain over his suspicion that Joe was responsible for his brother's demise. Swain recounts the events that began with Theo Mora's arrival at Franklin Biddle Academy. Theo, a charismatic and athletic student, quickly became a threat in Joe's eyes.

The narrative unfolds with a tragic incident where a group of boys, including Andrew, Swain, and Joe, lure Theo into a hazing prank. The prank turns deadly when Joe forcefully feeds Theo a large amount of vodka, leading to his untimely death. Despite the other boys' reluctance, Joe insists on maintaining their silence.

Weeks later, aboard a yacht, Andrew's overwhelming guilt prompts him to consider a confession. However, after a private conversation with Joe on the deck, Andrew mysteriously falls overboard and dies. Swain, now feeling safe after Joe's death, is finally able to confess the truth.

Meanwhile, detective Kierce locates Corey, who is hiding in the woods. Upon his arrest, Corey is accused of conspiracy in Tommy Dark's murder. He denies these charges and reveals to Kierce his investigation into Burkett’s Global and their faulty drugs. Kierce, who consumes these drugs, is struck by the realization that his symptoms are drug-induced hallucinations, including those of his deceased fiancée, Nicole.

Elsewhere, Maya is informed by Shane that the police are aware of his assistance in testing a bullet for her. Maya visits Shane and confesses her guilt over a military incident involving the unauthorized bombing of a van, leading to civilian casualties. She then hastily leaves Shane's house after receiving a tip about Luca, Izabella's brother.

Feeling responsible, Kierce's partner, Marty, sees him off but remains unaware of the full story. Kierce, determined to uncover the truth, confronts Rambo, threatening him with arrest to extract information about Joe's murder.

The episode reaches a climax as Maya confronts Izabella and Luca, discovering they were behind a deepfake video involving Joe.
