- Apr 24, 2025
Neon sparks anticipation with the unveiling of the first full trailer for "The Life of Chuck," directed by Mike Flanagan and headlined by Tom Hiddleston. This film is an adaptation of Stephen King's novella which interestingly narrates the life story of Chuck Krantz, played by Hiddleston, in reverse from his death to his formative years. The movie made its public debut in cinemas on June 6.
The film features Benjamin Pajak, Jacob Tremblay, and Cody Flanagan portraying various stages of Chuck's life, while Chiwetel Ejiofor and Karen Gillan play the roles of a divorcing couple, Marty and Felicia, who find their lives disrupted by the enigma surrounding Chuck Krantz. The roles of Chuck's grandparents, Sarah and Albie, are brought to life by Mia Sara and Mark Hamill, and the narration is provided by Nick Offerman.

A star-studded cast including Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillén, Kate Siegel, Q’orianka Kilcher, David Dastmalchian, Rahul Kohli, Heather Langenkamp, Michael Trucco, Molly C. Quinn, Lauren LaVera, Antonio Raul Corbo, Trinity Bliss, Violet McGraw, Taylor Gordon, Hamish Linklater, Matt Biedel, Suriyan Sapkota, Saidah Arrika Ekulona and Scott Wampler further enrich the film.
Mike Flanagan, apart from directing, played an integral role in editing and co-writing "The Life of Chuck" along with Stephen King. Neon took up the rights to the film after it won the people's choice award at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film, which started shooting in October 2023, draws comparisons with King's works like "Shawshank Redemption" and "Stand By Me," steering clear of the horror genre, unlike "It" and "Pet Sematary."
