The first reviews for Disney’s prequel to their 2019 photorealistic revamp of “The Lion King,” titled “Mufasa: The Lion King,” have begun to surface on digital platforms with critics showering immense praise on the film.
"Mufasa: The Lion King" has been received positively across the board, according to Variety's senior artisans editor Jazz Tangcay and The Koalition's entertainment editor Dana Abercrombie. In the prequel, the early years of Mufasa, future Pride Rock ruler, are delved into, offering insight into he and Scar (previously known as Taka) morph from friends into adversaries.
