We transition later to Candy and her husband waking up to the press. The deputy says that Betty was not shot, and the clues all point to someone close to Betty who had killed her.
The revelation all sinks in, and Candy is found out to be the killer.
The Gores mourn their loss, and Candy is seen as a prime suspect.
