The fourth episode of Bosch Legacy’s first season begins with Maddie on the run, having triggered her trauma while trying to help a rape victim. Bosch meets Dominick’s adoptive sister Olivia, who shares with him how Dominick lived his life before being killed in action. Bosch gets a new lead on Dominick’s case as he realizes from undeveloped photos that Dominick might have a son. This development implies that Dominick’s family, including the son, could be in danger if the photo’s child becomes Dominick’s.
Chandler visits the Korean supermarket and discovers that there are CCTV cameras that might reveal details about the robbery case facing her client. She reviews the footage and realizes that the actual robber had tattoos on his arm, something her client missed. This development exerts pressure on the local police, and Chandler’s client gets paid $1.2 million in compensation.
Meanwhile, Chandler and Bosch are thriving on the case against Roger’s release, and Rogers must speed up his plans to pay his Russian debtors, who are piling up ridiculous interests on their loan to him. Chandler and Bosch track Rogers with the help of Crate and Barrel and discover a plant-like facility owned by Aslan, an associate of Rogers. They observe oil tankers going in and out of the facility, and Bosch decides to get into the facility to establish what is happening inside.
Bosch gets into the facility by hitching a ride in a tanker’s cab and into a tunnel through a trapped door. Bosch discovers a lot of pipework in the tunnel and concludes that Rogers has been stealing fuel to pay the money he owes the Russians. He informs Chandler about his findings and tries to make his way out. The episode ends when Bosch is found trying to get out of the facility.
