The finale dives right in, featuring a heart-to-heart between Carrie and Aidan about his son Wyatt's accident in Norfolk. Aidan is preoccupied with paternal duties. Meanwhile Carrie has her plate full with her last grand soirée at her iconic apartment. And just when you thought it couldn't get better, Samantha Jones makes a comeback. Samantha, in all her glamour, dials in from a car leaving Heathrow, her plans to attend the farewell dinner having been foiled by a flight delay.

In a brief and stylish phone call, Samantha praises the apartment and exits the scene, leaving Carrie with her adorable cat, Shoe. Meanwhile, Charlotte is grappling with a hangover and family drama. Harry accuses her of not doing enough, only to be reminded by her that he should raise the bar on his own contributions.

Miranda is navigating her own rocky terrain with Che and Steve. She ventures to Steve's Coney Island abode and finds him speaking Spanish to an English-only employee. Despite the awkwardness, she and Steve find common ground. This gives their son Brady a glimpse of a harmonious future for his parents.

Then, we see Nya elated by her recent induction into the American Law Institute. However, her joy is short as she confesses to Miranda her loneliness following her divorce. Miranda persuades her to attend Carrie's dinner, where the Michelin-star chef turns out to be Toussaint, a charming man from her past. The chemistry is palpable, leading Nya to bring him home.

Amid the highs and lows of love, we find Seema and Ravi clashing over trust issues. Ravi insists he's focusing on business opportunities in Egypt, and Seema ultimately realizes that trust is the linchpin of their relationship.

Anthony, on the other hand, grapples with vulnerability and physical intimacy with Giuseppe. After confessing his love, Anthony takes the plunge-both emotionally and literally.

Lisa and Herbert’s storyline takes a somber tone as Lisa opens up about her recent miscarriage, leading to an intimate and supportive conversation between the couple.

The spotlight returns to Miranda and Che, who reconcile after a candid chat during Carrie’s party. They acknowledge their rocky past but agree it served as a stepping stone for both. The evening wraps up with a “letting go” session, where each guest says a word about what they want to release. Carrie chooses "expectations," urging everyone to keep an open mind about the future.

A series of unexpected events follows. Miranda ends up at a BBC interview and sparks a connection with a woman named Joy. Carrie receives a surprise visit from Aidan, who delivers a cryptic message about needing time away but still wanting her in his life.

In the end, Seema secures a beachside getaway in Greece and debates the unpredictability of love with Carrie. And as they sip on Cosmopolitans, Seema ponders their romantic futures, to which Carrie responds, "There's always more." Whether she's referring to drinks or relationships, one thing is clear: we haven't seen the last of these characters.

So as we bid adieu to another season, we're left wondering what lies ahead. Aidan's suggestion that Carrie wait for him for five more years only adds to the suspense. Will there be additional seasons to unravel these intricate lives? We'll just have to wait and see.
