A Girl from Plainville Episode 2 Recap “Turtle”
In Naples, Conrad meets Michelle, who was visiting her grandmother. While the two of them converse, Conrad’s father calls him to tell him to stop calling his daughter.
That night, Conrad goes on a walk along the docks; it is here that he runs into Michelle. Michelle teaches Conrad a method to fall asleep quicker while they also play a word-associated game.
This sparks a blooming teenage romance between them.
Present Day
Michelle delivers a speech in honor of Conrad, then starts the event without allowing Rob to speak.
Michelle talks to Lynn about how Conrad brought back her flowers the morning he departed Florida (the first time we know she was lying). Lynn continues to put off giving her the note Conrad left her.
The episode finishes with Michelle in her mom’s car on the verge of having a panic attack.
Watch Or Not
The Girl From Plainville is an overarching theme of mental health in teenagers, and an essential portion of the conversation revolves around Michelle and her inner turmoil.
The narrative follows Michelle’s transformation from more of a traditional protagonist to someone complex (as many of us all are).
This is a watch, but be forewarned, this is a very relatable topic, and it could trigger those who have lost a loved one due to bullying and toxic relationships.
If you can manage, then this is an engaging show.
