A recent look at Google trends for the past 45 days shows that people are looking for a wide range of different types of costumes, including both classic options and more trendy concepts. The following 10 Halloween costumes have seen some of the largest spikes in search traffic over the last three months according to Google.

Bat Halloween costume - Pretty classic, but I feel like you would need to put an original spin on it.
Among Us Halloween costume - Apparently the 2018 video game, Among Us, is inspiring some Halloween costume ideas in 2021.
Paw Patrol Halloween costume - Another video game inspired costume search, with the kids Nintendo game characters front and center.
Medusa Halloween costume - Another classic, but I wouldn’t have expected it to be this popular. When was the last time you saw Medusa in a movie or TV show?
Cupid Halloween costume - A versatile costume idea that can work for a wide range of people and also be fairly tame or a bit sexy.
Powerpuff Girls Halloween costume - Another one for the kids or parents, with the animated show Powerpuff Girls delivering some potential characters.
Hulk Halloween costume - Hulk smash! It’s been a while since we saw Hulk in Avengers: Endgame, but the big green guy is always a popular costume.
Rick & Morty Halloween costume - This one comes from the adult animated series, Rick & Morty and should be a popular one for the grown-ups.
Dinosaur Halloween costume - What kid doesn’t want to dress up as a T-Rex? A cool dinosaur costume is always a hit for the kids.
Vampire Halloween costume - Maybe the ultimate classic costume, with a ton of potential options. Funny, scary, sexy… You can go a lot of ways with a vampire costume.
