The Bowflex SelectTech dumbbell has been around for years and now comes in two variations – the 552 (ranging from 5-52 lbs) and the 1090 (which ranges from 10-90 lbs). Each one provides an easy weight selector to quickly adjust each dumbbell.
If you are looking for a system that allows you to lift heavier weights, then the SelectTech 1090 is a strong contender, as many other products do not include weights up to 90 lbs.
Powerblock
The Powerblock is a little odd-looking, compared to the other adjustable dumbbell products. But, behind that unique design is a very customizable platform, that allows you to purchase expansion kits that allow you to add more weight. Not all of their products can be expanded, so make sure you take that into account when ordering your first set of Powerblock dumbbells.
