Lovin' McDonald's All Around The World

McDonald’s knows no limits. The golden arches are everywhere you look, humbly waiting for you to feast off their food.  But while the golden arches might look the same in every part of the world, the food most certainly does not. Travel to a Mcdonald's restaurant around the world with this list of delectables you can find in each part.

McDonald’s China

  • The Sichuan Double Chicken Burger - This menu item consists of chicken patties, lettuce and Szechuan sauce (a soy described as “citrus flavored” along with garlic and chili), all in between two brioche buns.
  • Japanese Beef Bowl - This item consists of savory beef pieces, mixed veggies, and noodles. It comes with a side of fries. Sort of odd for a seemingly traditional Japanese bowl, but it is McDonald’s.
  • German Sausage Double Beef Burger - This menu item is very… Intense. It consists of two classic McDonald’s beef patties topped with two large German-style sausages covered with mustard. All of that in between two brioche buns.
  • Red Bean Boba Tea - Now, this might be something every McDonald’s restaurant need (in my personal opinion.) Served warm, this sugary drink consists of milk and tea as well as cooked tapioca boba and red beans at the bottom.
  • Spicy McWings - Okay, I could entertain this one. The McWings are buffalo-style chicken wings. Yummy!

McDonald’s Italy

I’m excited about this one!

  • Tomato and Mozzarella Turnovers - Can’t say I didn’t expect something like this. Known as “panzerotti” in Italy, this item consists of well… tomato and mozzarella… Inside pizza dough. Yum!
  • Baci Perugina McFlurry - Okay, this one looks amazing. This McFlurry consists of vanilla and Baci chocolate, an Italian delicacy. Mixed with hazelnut truffles.
  • My Selection Chicken - Looks pretty standard to me. This chicken burger consists of chicken breast, provolone cheese and yellow tomato sauce (never heard of this one before), topped with lettuce and tomatoes.
  • Mozzarella McBites - Creative! This is exactly what you think - little circles of fried mozzarella.
  • The Parmareggio Snack - Wow. I wish I had a constant supply of this in my cheese drawer. It is basically just a stick of parmesan shaped as a small bar.

This all sounds delicious but I was hoping there would be some pasta on the menu.

McDonald’s Spain

Lovin' McDonald's All Around The World
  • McPollo - I love the Spanish twist on the name of this menu item, however, the ingredients are a little underwhelming in my opinion. This sandwich consists of crispy chicken with mayonnaise and lettuce, on sesame seed bread.
  • Happy Cherritos - This snack usually comes as a side with Happy Meals, but I had to include it because the name is so cute! This snack is just cherry tomatoes, a healthy and fresh addition to HappyMeals.
  • Gazpacho - For those who don’t know what gazpacho is, it is a Spanish-style soup made from tomatoes, other vegetables and spices. It is typically served cold, and every McDonald’s restaurant in Spain serves it in a bottle, ready to drink and enjoy!
  • McFlurry Conguitos Milk Chocolate - This desert item looks delicious. Conguitos are chocolate-covered peanuts, which are super popular in Spain. In the McFlurry, they are mixed with vanilla ice-cream and can be topped with chocolate, white chocolate, caramel or strawberry syrup.
  • Iberian toast - This breakfast item consists of authentic iberian ham on top of tomato paste/sauce consistency in between crusty bread. I would definitely try this unique item!

McDonald’s Australia (Macca’s)

First off, it’s not even a McDonald’s restaurant in Australia, instead, it’s called “Macca’s”

  • Classic Angus - This burger consists of Aussie Angus beef, cheese, tomato, onions and pickles dressed with mustard and mayo.
  • Big Brekkie Burger - Breakfast meets BBQ. This burger is made with hash brown, cheese, bacon, a friend egg and a beef patty topped with BBQ sauce and in between a toasted sesame seed bun. Okay… I don’t even thing my mouth can open wide enough to indulge in this burger.
  • Aioli Chicken McWrap - This menu item consists of lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo to compliment Aussie RSPCA Approved (a UK organization aimed at preventing animal cruelty) chicken breast inside of a wholemeal tortilla.
  • Gravy Loaded Fries - Australia was the first to launch this unique fry combo. And I can say, I’ve tried fries with a lot of different condiments, but I have never thought gravy to be one of them. This is exactly as the name says, french fries drizzled with lots of grazy.
  • Frozen Cokes - This is every movie theatre, gas station-loving freezie getter's dream. Yup, frozen cokes. Even better, Macca offers a variety of different coke flavors. So there’s Frozen Coke, raspberry, pineapple, lime, blueberry, grape, mango and more.

McDonald’s Egypt

  • McAloo Tikki Burger - There is a lot of flavor going on here. The Aloo Tikki Burger is a potato and pea burger with a lot of desi spices, topped with tomatoes and onions, drenched in a tangy mayo sauce.
  • McSpicy Paneer - This burger is vegetarian friendly. Paneer is fried cottage cheese and often used as a replacement for meat or chicken. So it is a paneer patty, with lettuce and tangy sauce between sesame seed buns.
  • Veg Pizza McPuff - This one is an interesting twist on the traditional pizza. This Pizza McPuff is like a pizza pocket, however it is filled with vegetables like onions, carrots, and bell peppers along with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Sounds delicious. I would have never thought to pair carrots and pizza!
  • Masala Scrambled eggs - This meal, a traditional breakfast meal for a lot of INdians is with scrambled eggs, seasoned with lots of masala (spices). It is served with warm, buttered bread.
  • Rice Bowls - Rice bowls are a cheesy and spicy Indian favorite! They come with vegetables such as peas, corn, carrots, zucchini, as well as chickpeas and kidney beans. There is an option to add chicken nuggets to the bowl as well. Of course, McDonald’s throws in some McNuggets!

When I travel to these places I already know what items I will be getting. From China, I will try the Japanese beef bowl; Italy, the Baci Perugina McFlurry; Spain, the Iberian Toast; Australia, the gravy fries, of course; And Egypt, the Veg Pizza McPuff.
